Why are dads so against changing the thermostat one degree? Isn’t it there to keep us comfortable? Is that one degree doing to make us poor?
One degree of change on the thermostat can amount to as much as a 17% increase in energy consumption.
That might not seem like much to you, but if you’re not working to earn the money to pay the bill, you need to sit down and obey he or she who does.
Something else you haven’t considered is that for every degree of temperature change, the air conditioning or heating system has to run upwards of 17% longer which means it’s going to wear out 17% quicker.
So… Should you find that the thermostat has been messed with then the alarms start going off, shutters come down over the windows and the interrogation begins. 9 times out of 10 this person will be Dad.
